    Ecuador Love Life

Ecuador lies on the equator and can roughly be divided in three zones.

The green coastal area with tropical rainforest, where you’ll find a completely different kind of flora and fauna than in the Amazonian area in the east of the country.
As a kind of buffer between these you’ll find the Andes with its diverse landscape of majestic mountain peaks and impressive volcanoes. This mountain area is surprisingly green and with its high altitude comes a unique fauna. The snow line is far above 4000 metres.

The differences in altitude in Ecuador are the cause of the highest density of microclimates. In Ecuador you will find species of plants and animals you will not find anywhere else in the world.

Just as diverse as the landscape are the inhabitants. From the highest mountains to the dense jungle, from the coast to the Amazonian area, you’ll find at least 13 different native communities, each with their own customs, language and clothing.

Ecuador is a relatively small country and you can visit a lot of attractions in a short amount of time. It is lovely to stroll along colourful markets where the locals buy and sell their wares, enjoy the beautiful architecture in colonial cities such as Quito and Cuenca and feel like a real explorer when you unravel the jungle’s secrets.

The Galapagos archipelago, one of the most special nature reserves in the world, is a place often visited. However... Ecuador’s mainland is often, ENTIRELY undeservedly, forgotten about...
