From the Pacific to the Atlantic
In 2016, we drove along a spectacular route through South America. From the Peruvian capital, Lima, to the famous Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Deserts, highlands, volcanoes, mountain lakes, Inca sites, traditional villages, mountain passes, the Pampas, jungle and waterfalls. These are the ingredients for a spectacular road trip through South America in your own car. During this trip, you’ll mainly be driving on tarmac roads, but there are certainly a number of unpaved roads in store for you too. Along the way, you’ll stay in the finest accommodation, and time will be set aside during the trip to visit the countries’ highlights. These include Machu Picchu in Peru and the Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil. Throughout this fantastic journey, you’ll enjoy the freedom of travelling in your own car, whilst always being able to rely on the support of our experienced Dutch, German, English and Spanish-speaking guides and an expert technical team. Practical information

At present, no SouthAmeriCar event is planned.
Price: €39,500 per team*
(*based on two people travelling together)
Number of participants: min . 8, max . 12 teams
Includes:
- Shipping the car by container;
- Intercontinental flight from the Netherlands/Germany to Lima, and from Rio de Janeiro to the Netherlands/Germany;
- Accommodation in good, comfortable hotels. In some less touristy areas, we stay in good but simple hotels. To make up for this, we offer something extra in other areas!;
- Excursion to Machu Picchu on the Vista Dome train;
- The travel days are on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner) and the free days are on a bed and breakfast basis;
- Route book;
- Trip guide;
- Technical support and backup.
