We had a fantastic trip! Everything was right and in order, the flights, the accommodations, the transfers and the guides. Thanks to Sapa Pana Travel, the local partners and the shipping company of the Antarctic expedition. We also had exceptionally good weather and were able to take a lot of beautiful pictures. With us, the whole trip is still sizzling, with Antarctica as the highlight.

Buenos Aires

We were well received by your local guide Carmen. The market in San Telmo was definitely worth a visit and the bike ride was a success; there were only four of us and we had a very good guide who guided us safely through the city and gave us a lot of information.

What a beautiful nature and landscapes.

El Calafate

Beautiful location of Hosteria Alta Vista; we were the only guests so we got all the attention, the tour through Tamara in the sheep barn was very interesting. She took us by jeep for a walk so we could walk down at our leisure. Beautiful nature and landscape! Next day to Perito Moreno, very worthwhile and not crowded! Lots of wind! We would have liked to stay a bit longer at this address for a walk. Very nice food and drinks.

Puerto Natales

A 5-hour drive through a wide landscape! The car was fine, but driving for a long time on unpaved roads is very tiring. The border crossing to Chile always took an hour; bad luck if you had a busload in front of you. The Indigo hotel was a surprise, both in terms of location and decoration; beautiful and special. The Torres del Paine national park was really fantastic! Too bad we had to go back a long way by car. Indeed better to spend the night here in the park... Also a long day of walking in this park would be wonderful, but there was no time for that.

Ushuaia

Tierra del Fuego National Park was very beautiful. Nice canoe trip, good guide, nice lunch in the tent, nice walk.

Antarctica was an overwhelming experience. It cannot be put into words. So beautiful with those beautiful landscapes, islands, sea, animals and light

M/F Ushuaia - Antarctica

Antarctica was an overwhelming experience. It cannot be put into words. So beautiful with those beautiful landscapes, islands, sea, animals and light. We had good weather and were able to go ashore twice every day among the gentoo penguins and chinstrap penguins, seals, sea lions, birds and interesting remains of former whaling and scientific stations. The expedition team was very enthusiastic and good. The ship's staff and crew were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Meals were fine, only the Argentine wine was missing. Unfortunately, but fortunately it was still for sale. The downside was the bed in our cabin, which was somehow loose in the barge and went with the movement of the ship with a loud bang from left to right. The mattress itself was fine. Fortunately both crossings over the Drake Passage were relatively quiet. We were very happy and surprised with the extensive film the expedition team had made about this voyage. It contains information about the ship's crew and the expedition team, a checklist of which animals we saw on which day, information about the lectures, logbook of the trip with all the daily programmes, maps and photos. On the last evening on board all this was watched and everyone received a copy of this DVD.

Buenos Aires

Back in Buenos Aires, Katrine's cooking workshop was very entertaining and delicious. The stories of "gastrosoof" Alejandro Frango were particularly entertaining and interesting. Tango and dinner show the next evening was super; nice to see and hear and delicious!

It was a fantastic trip!
