The many facets of a trip of Brazil and Argentina
A trip of Brazil and Argentina is a trip you’ll never forget. This is particularly due to the diversity of the countries and their breathtaking landscapes, but they have much more to offer. Fly to Buenos Aires and discover the pride of Argentina. Then round off your trip in Rio de Janeiro with a visit to the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. The border crossings are straightforward, making it easy to travel from one country to the other.
Brazil is a destination that inspires and stimulates all your senses. The bustling city of Rio de Janeiro, with its iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and lively Copacabana, is a prime example of this. Go in search of the jaguar amidst the unspoilt beauty of the Pantanal, or take a boat trip to experience the tranquillity of the Amazon. Be sure to visit Salvador too, the city of samba, capoeira and colonial charm. Explore north-eastern Brazil with the vast sand dunes and lagoons of Lençóis Maranhenses, the unspoilt beaches of Jericoacoara, and the idyllic Fernando de Noronha with its crystal-clear blue waters teeming with sea turtles. Marvel at the spectacular Iguaçu Falls on the border with Argentina, relax on the idyllic beaches of Ilha Grande, and fall in love with the charming colonial town of Paraty. This is just a small selection of all the wonderful things Brazil has to offer!
Argentina, too, is a country full of contrasts, both in terms of climate and landscape. The journey (usually) begins in Buenos Aires, the city of the tango, atmospheric neighbourhoods and a vibrant culture. Discover the gaucho traditions in San Antonio de Areco, not far from Buenos Aires. Travel to the impressive Patagonia, where you’ll find, amongst other things, Los Glaciares National Park. Walk across the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier and enjoy the surroundings. Visit the ‘end of the world’ in the town of Ushuaia, from where cruises to Antarctica also depart. The lake district will enchant you and is an ideal region to explore by rental car! In the north, you’ll find authentic villages such as Purmamarca, colourful landscapes and the vast, unique Puna plateau. Taste famous (Malbec) wines in the vineyards near Mendoza and be awestruck by the spectacular Iguazu Falls. The perfect destination for crossing the border to and from Brazil!
At Sapa Pana Travel, we have visited both Brazil and Argentina on numerous occasions, sometimes by rental car and sometimes not. We know the most beautiful routes, unique ‘must-see’ destinations and, of course, places ‘off the beaten track’. We’ll round off your unique trip with special and distinctive accommodation in exceptional locations.
