Round trips - Guatemala & Belize

Guatemala, an enchanting country, is a treasure trove of history, culture and natural beauty. Guatemalan culture is a vibrant blend of indigenous Mayan traditions and Spanish influences. The colourful markets, traditional dress and centuries-old crafts tell the stories of a people proud of their heritage. In the dense jungles of the north lie the majestic and better-known Mayan temples of Tikal, one of the largest archaeological sites of the ancient Mayan civilisation. Here, towering pyramids rise above the rainforest, a reminder of a rich and mysterious history. Not far from the border with Belize lies Xunantunich, another impressive Mayan complex – as yet unknown to the wider public – renowned for its magnificent stone carvings and views over the surrounding jungle. The historic city of Antigua, with its colourful colonial architecture and cobbled streets, offers a fascinating glimpse into Guatemala’s Spanish heritage. Guatemala’s landscape is as diverse as its culture. The mysterious Lake Atitlán, surrounded by volcanoes and traditional villages, is the perfect place for relaxation and adventure. Volcanoes such as Pacaya and Fuego offer challenging hiking and climbing opportunities, with breathtaking views as a reward. In short, Guatemala, with its rich history and breathtaking landscapes, is a destination that stimulates your senses and captures your heart.

Belize offers a perfect blend of idyllic islands, beaches and unspoilt nature. The charming Placencia Peninsula, with its idyllic beaches and tranquil atmosphere, is the perfect base for beach lovers and adventurers. Here you can enjoy sun-drenched days and the warm Caribbean Sea. The islands, such as Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, are surrounded by crystal-clear waters and vast coral reefs, perfect for snorkelling and diving. The waters around Belize are also a paradise for diving enthusiasts. The famous Great Blue Hole, a massive underwater cave, and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef attract divers from all over the world. The colourful coral reefs and rich marine life, including manta rays and nurse sharks, make every dive an unforgettable experience. Inland lies the Cayo District, an area brimming with natural wonders and historical treasures. It is home to some of the most impressive Mayan temples, such as Caracol, which was once one of the most powerful cities of the Mayan civilisation. The temples and palaces lie deep within the jungle and offer a fascinating glimpse into the past. The jungle of Belize is home to a highly diverse range of wildlife. In reserves such as the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, you can observe jaguars, toucans and howler monkeys in their natural habitat. The jungle is dotted with mystical caves and rivers such as Actun Tunichil Mukna, where ancient Mayan artefacts and skeletons are preserved. Whether you’re relaxing on the beaches, exploring the treasures of the underwater world, setting off on an adventure in the jungle or immersing yourself in the mysterious history of the Maya, Belize is sure to surprise you!
