In 3 weeks we got to know the west side of Nicaragua well by driving through it ourselves with a rental car. Nicaragua is highly recommended!

A wonderfully varied journey
Tourism in Nicaragua is not very well-developed yet, so we hardly met any other tourists there. Even the friendly people do not know it, so they do not beg. What a relief! Sapa Pana Travel has put together a wonderful, varied trip for us. We made a trip along some beautiful cities: Leon, Matagalpa, Granada. Then we travelled by ferry to Ometepe, a volcanic island in the big lake of Nicaragua. At the end of the trip we enjoyed the very beautiful resort by the sea in San Juan del Sur. Nicaragua: highly recommended!
