Over the course of three weeks, we got to know the western part of Nicaragua really well by driving through it ourselves in a rental car. Nicaragua comes highly recommended!

A wonderful and varied trip
Tourism in Nicaragua isn’t really developed yet, so we hardly came across any other tourists. The friendly locals aren’t used to it either, so they don’t beg. What a relief! Sapa Pana Travel put together a wonderful, varied itinerary for us. We went on a trip of some beautiful cities: León, Matagalpa and Granada. We then travelled by ferry to Ometepe, a volcanic island in Lake Nicaragua. At the end of the trip, we enjoyed the lovely seaside resort in San Juan del Sur. Nicaragua comes highly recommended!
