It exceeded all our expectations

For years, we’d been planning a trip to Baja California in Mexico. We were keen to go whale watching, drive through the desert and visit some lovely places. So we set about looking for a trip operator who could make this happen for us, and that’s how we came across Sapa Pana Travel. We weren’t familiar with the company before, but we’ve been very satisfied from the very first contact right through to the last.

Whale watching
Sapa Pana Travel put together a trip based on our preferences. We explored the Baja California region. We visited some lovely little towns and eventually went on several whale-watching trips. Different species of whale can be seen at various locations across the peninsula, and Sapa Pana Travel took this fully into account. We saw them all.
During one of the trips, a mother and her calf swam right up alongside the boat and we were even able to touch these magnificent creatures – an incredible experience. We also saw dolphins, rays leaping out of the water, pelicans, frigatebirds, blue-footed boobies, ospreys and much, much more during the trips. We were accompanied by an excellent guide on the excursions. She was a biologist and spoke good English; thanks to her, we learnt a great deal about the flora and fauna of this part of Mexico. We also went snorkelling for a day with this guide, during which we saw beautiful fish, as well as sea lions swimming right past us.
A fantastic trip
We stayed in lovely, comfortable, small hotels that we could never have found on our own. The distances between destinations were manageable and we had plenty of time everywhere to explore the town and the surrounding area. We also visited Hotel California, which may well have been the inspiration for the Eagles’ song. In short, a fantastic trip!
