The Bem Family
We’ve seen a lot of the world, but we’d never been to Peru before. The vast and unique variety of the coast,
the high mountains and the Amazon rainforest in this country really appealed to us. What’s more, good food always plays a part in our holidays. And you can certainly enjoy good food in Peru!
Highlights of Peru
Last summer, the three of us as a family went on an unforgettable trip through this beautiful country. We thoroughly enjoyed the adventure: in a rental car, we drove along unpaved roads and over high mountain passes up to an altitude of 5,000 metres, surrounded by breathtaking scenery along the way. In the Amazon, we marvelled at the colourful macaws and toucans from various canopy towers at sunrise and sunset. This was an experience we won’t forget in a hurry. We also went on a challenging but magnificent hike through the impressive Colca Canyon, one of the deepest gorges in the world, where majestic condors soared above our heads. And, of course, we visited the famous Rainbow Mountain and the mythical Machu Picchu. Despite the high volume of tourism, the latter remains, quite rightly, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: its stunning location and mysterious atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience.

Organised down to the last detail
Planning the trip through Sapa Pana was ideal. The various guides we had during the trip were exceptionally well organised, providing plenty of information about the region, plants, trees and animals. Transfers were always right on time. When one of us fell ill briefly during the trip, Sapa Pana ensured, through personal contact and the local trip operator, that we wouldn’t miss out on certain activities after all.
In short, we had a fantastic holiday in Peru.
