We can look back on a truly wonderful trip to Chile and Patagonia.
The Atacama Desert, with its geysers, salt lakes and desolate lunar valleys, stood in stark contrast to the green and snow-capped mountain peaks, volcanoes, lakes and glaciers of Patagonia. In consultation with us, Sapa Pana Travel put together the Patagonia part of the trip. We organised the Atacama part ourselves. This is how we managed to create a tailor-made trip.

Our stays in hotels and lodges were comfortable in every location, often beautifully situated by a lake with views of snow-capped mountain peaks. The rental car, a Nissan Pathfinder, was the ideal vehicle for four people to navigate the sometimes unpaved and bumpy roads in Chile and Argentina.
Highlights included the Atacama Desert, the verdant Patagonia with its flowering gorse and lupins, and Futaleufú: a charming little town with a lovely restaurant and where you can enjoy spectacular rafting on the River Futaleufú.
Then there were the glaciers near Puerto Guadal, where we went on a spectacular excursion to the Leones Glacier. And, of course, the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier.
Last but not least, we’d like to mention the Torres del Paine, whose peaks rise above the mountain landscape like giant, imposing cathedrals.
It was an unforgettable trip, not least thanks to the excellent organisation and communication from Sapa Pana Travel!
