We’ve just returned from a fantastic trip to Guatemala and Belize. Everything was superbly organised: all the pick-ups were on time and the drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s worth mentioning that, in both Guatemala and Belize, we were contacted by telephone by a member of staff from your local partner to check how our trip was going.

Tikal certainly lived up to our high expectations, not least thanks to the excellent support from our guide Noel. We worked up quite a sweat in the jungle at 42 degrees, but in a way, that was all part of the experience.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the diving in Belize. On the advice of Turtle Inn, we decided not to go on the whale shark excursion, as the creature hadn’t been spotted by fishermen during our stay – which was, of course, a shame. But instead, Rita and I squeezed in a day of snorkelling and diving with nurse sharks, barracudas and endless fields of soft coral and sponges. So you’ll hardly hear me complaining.
I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to miss the Tropic Air transfer from Placencia to Ambergris; we’re glad we followed your advice on this.
We were very pleased with all the accommodation: each place had its own unique charm, and all of them were very service-oriented. I’d like to pass on greetings to you from Martin (GM of Turtle Inn) and Jan & Sandra van Noord (owners of Portofino Resort).
